Tracking Multiple Windows
Time-Aid tracks the active or focus window. So even though there may be multiple windows open, there is only one that is active. Time-Aid tracks just the focus window, and as you change windows, Time-Aid changes logging.
It is also worth noting that Time-Aid only logs the text in windows title bar, that is the text at the very top of the screen. Some important points regarding this logging process:
- The system DOES NOT log the content of the files you are working on, just the title bar.
- The text and detail of the title bar varies from program to program, so you will notice differing descriptions presented in your log.
- Pop-up windows such as Save As, Are You Sure and so on are also logged, since they become a focus window.
